What the app does
Yuppa analyses a photograph of a food or cosmetic product. It identifies the product, reads the ingredient list, classifies each ingredient as no concern, medium risk or risky, scores the product out of 100, and compares the result with the allergens, diet, health goals and skin type you entered.
Estimates, not measurements
Every number the app produces is an estimate. It rests on what the camera could see, on what the label declares, and on public sources that change. The scoring method is fixed and applied the same way to every product — no brand can pay to raise a score, and there are no sponsored results — but a fixed method applied to incomplete input still produces an estimate. Always read the current label on the product in your hand.
Yuppa is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition, and it does not provide medical advice. Never rely on it alone for an allergy decision. If you have an allergy or intolerance, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or manage any condition affected by what you eat or put on your skin, check the packaging yourself and talk to a doctor, pharmacist or dietitian.
Who may use it
You must be 18 or older. You are responsible for the preferences you enter: an allergen you did not select is an allergen the app will not warn you about.
Yuppa PRO
Scanning a product requires Yuppa PRO. PRO is sold weekly or yearly. The price and the period are shown by Google Play or the App Store, in your own currency, at the moment you subscribe, and those are the terms that apply. The yearly plan may offer a free trial — three days at the time of writing, once per store account; the app tells you if you have already used yours. When the trial ends the subscription renews automatically at the price shown, and keeps renewing until you cancel.
Cancel at any time: on Android in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions; on iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or from Profile → Manage subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period. Refunds are decided by Google or Apple under their own policies — we cannot issue them.
Fair use
Every plan carries a fair-use number of appraisals per period, so that a single subscription cannot run up unbounded AI costs. The number is shown in the app, and the app tells you when you reach it. Re-opening a report you already have does not count against it.
What you may not do
- Resell, redistribute or reverse-engineer the app
- Use it to build a competing dataset or service
- Automate it, scrape it at scale, or work around its limits
- Use it in any way that breaks the law or a third party's rights
Availability
The app depends on services outside our control — Google Play, the App Store, the hosting provider, the AI provider, Open Food Facts. It may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons we do not control, and features may change or be removed as the app develops.
Liability
The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Aurelion Labs (Mehmet Sancaktutan) is not liable for damages arising from your use of the app or from decisions you make on the strength of an appraisal. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and your consumer rights are unaffected.
Ending it
You can stop using the app and delete what it holds at any time. We may suspend access that abuses the service.
